The game of the week was played in Bilbao, as the home team hosted Laboral Kutxa and it was Bilbao won comfortably 93-75.
It was a close game until the third quarter when hosts took control and didn’t let up until the end. Their biggest lead was 22 points, highlighted with a terrific alley-oop dunk by Latavious Williams.
There was however and ugly moment that happened with 7 seconds left in the fourth quarter when Dejan Todorović went for a dunk and Tornike Shengelia hit him in the head as he went for a block.
Todorović didn’t like that and he started pushing Shengelia, but Shengelia responded with a punch and a massive brawl escalated with several players involved.
Alex Mumbru and Marko Todorović led Bilbao with 14 points. Davis Bertans had 12 for Laboral Kutxa.
Real Madrid had troubles with Tenerife in the first half, but managed to turn it around in the second half as they won 94-85.
Rudy Fernandez hit 5 threes and he finished with 19 points in 23 minutes. Luke Sikma was terrific for Tenerife as he led his team with 22.
Unicaja stayed at the top of the table with 77-68 win against Gran Canaria. Mindaugas Kuzminskas led Unicaja with 19 points. Sasu Salin had 12 for the losing side.
Barcelona struggled in the first half against Gipuzkoa Basket. Alex Abrines took things in his own hands in the third quarter as he carried Barcelona in this game with 16 points. Barcelona won 71-58. Taquan Dean had 14 for the visitors.
Elsewhere around the league Zaragoza won easily against Fuenlabrada 86-69. Valencia pulled out a close one against Estudiantes as they won 81-76.
Sevilla lost at home to Murcia 96-83 and Manresa lost to Morabanc Andorra 80-64 leaving them still at the bottom of the table with only 5 wins. Joventut won in Obradoiro 67-71 after big comeback in the fourth quarter.
