Damian Lillard might be close to a return after a cortisone injection procedure last week in response to abdominal pain he’s suffered over the last few years.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Blazers superstar may be available for Sunday’s contest vs the Minnesota Timberwolves, after missing the last four games with an abdominal injury.

Lillard, a six-time All-NBA selection and six-time All-Star, is averaging 21.5 points, 7.8 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 39.7 percent from the field and 30.2 percent from beyond the arc this season.

The Blazers will face the Warriors on Wednesday without Lillard and CJ McCollum, who has been diagnosed with a collapsed right lung.

Following that matchup, the next game for Portland will be at Moda Center against Minnesota. The Blazers are having a shaky start to begin the season with an 11-14 record.
