Philadelphia 76ers are not ready to change their stance regarding their trade demands for Ben Simmons. As a recent report suggested, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers wants to play alongside a defensive specialist like Simmons.

However, the Sixers are not interested in anything the Blazers have to offer to them for the three-time All-Star, per Kyle Neubeck of Philly Voice.

“A bit of important reporting we will try not to bury in a recap – a source familiar with the situation spoke to PhillyVoice on Monday evening and said the Sixers have had no recent discussions with Portland regarding a CJ McCollum trade, and a package centered around the Blazers’ guard is not currently of interest to the Sixers.

The Sixers are expected to continue dialogue with teams across the league about potential opportunities as December 15th nears closer and more trade scenarios become available league-wide”.”

Daryl Morey is determined to receive fair value in return for Simmons. They obviously decided that CJ McCollum does not represent that kind of value.

The team is in no hurry to make a deal. There is also the fact that Dec. 15 is the date upon which players that signed contracts in the offseason can be traded.
