In a wild game at Staples Center, the Sacramento Kings stood tall and edged the Los Angeles Lakers in triple overtime (141-137).
The Kings made several clutch plays late in the game and managed to escape from LA with a big road win over the Lakers. Sacramento improved to 8-12, whereas the Lakers dropped to 10-11.
The visitors trailed by 13 in the fourth quarter (73-86), but went on a 27-14 run to force an overtime (100-100). With consecutive lead changes and no team able to take a significant lead, the game went into triple overtime, where the Kings sealed the deal.
De’Aaron Fox (34 points) and Buddy Hield (25 points) combined for 59 points for the winners. Russell Westbrook made another triple double for the Lakers, with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Four players scored 20+ points for the losing squad.
