Nikola Vucevic took to Twitter and reacted to the stellar peformance of DeMar DeRozan in the 121-103 triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Vucevic was glad he played a part in convincing DeRozan to join the Bulls in the offseason, even though he was close to signing with the Lakers.
“I’m really glad my recruitment pitch to Demar worked,” Nikola Vucevic tweeted. The veteran big man currently is out of action, due to the health and safety protocols of the NBA.
For his part, DeRozan exploded for a game-high 38 points vs the Lakers. He is averaging 26.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 14 games this season. The Bulls are second in the East, at 10-4.
