Five years ago, the Golden State Warriors faced off the Oklahoma City Thunder led by Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in the 2016 Western Conference Finals. OKC led the series 3-2 as the teams entered Game 6.

Draymond Green remembered a story from that game which involved Klay Thompson. The sharp shooter felt that he will have a big night and told Green about that.

“It’s funny, because Game 6 Klay, which is a real thing, I remember him coming to me before in OKC before that game, [saying] ‘Hey Dray, just get me the ball. I’m about to go crazy,'” Green told former NBA player Kelenna Azubuika, per Ali Thanawalla of NBC Sports. “And he come out and he’s going crazy.”

Thompson then went off with 41 points, making 11 out of 18 three-pointers, as the Warriors forced Game 7 and eventually reached the Finals where they were defeated by LeBron James’ Cavaliers.
