Lakers rookie Austin Reaves continues to impress his new teammates. The 23-year-old shooting guard played 30 minutes coming off the bench during the road win against the San Antonio Spurs.
Former Oklahoma Sooner entered the NBA undrafted, but, so far, he has been able to find his place in Lakers rotation. Anthony Davis thinks that Reaves will be useful for the team this season.
“Played great defensively Austin [Reaves]. Just tough. Come in rookie. He comes in and plays extremely well. Hit some shots. Got hit in the face again tonight. He plays through it. He’s physical, he’s tough. He’s not scared of the moment. Any rookie can get scared of the moment.
“I mean overtime, fourth quarter first time he’s been through that in a close game as far as NBA level went. He stayed composed the entire time. He’s definitely a guy that we can use throughout the season.”
