Malik Monk will get his first start with the Los Angeles Lakers and will replace injured superstar LeBron James.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel revealed the news while talking to reporters, including, pregame. James is out with a sore ankle and the Lakers will not risk his participation in the contest.

Meanwhile, Monk and Rajon Rondo will see more playing time on the floor. The Lakers will seek to extend their winning streak to two games. Meanwhile, the Spurs want to snap a two-game losing streak.
