Chauncey Billups’ Portland Trail Blazers played lights out basketball in their 134-105 win vs. the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Led by CJ McCollum’s 28 points, the club shot 54.3% from the field and 42.0% on three pointers with five players scoring in double figures.

“There were times where it was like we had six guys on the floor,” Billups said. “People were just giving so many multiple efforts.”

Obviously there are still questions about how Billups will fare in his first season coaching and if Portland’s roster has enough depth, but last night was a very positive sign of what they can be when playing at their best.
