Here’s Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups on how he thinks Scoot Henderson has handled up and downs early in his NBA career.

(via Portland Trail Blazers):

“I’m telling you, it’s one of the most impressive things about Scoot, is if you’re around him every day, you never know if he’s playing good or if he’s struggling or if he feels under pressure. You never know anything. He’s always got this great smile and he’s always very positive. So I would say the way he handles it is A+, I really do. We talk very candidly about it, him and I, just alone. It’s not a front or nothing, he really handles it very well. He has a level of patience that most young guys don’t have. He is (handling it well).

“I just remember me at that age: I thought I handled it well, but the biggest difference is I didn’t have to deal with all the social media and all of the stuff, all the background noise. So I feel for him a lot of times, because people don’t understand how hard it is in this league. It’s hard to be good. It’s hard to get here. It’s even harder to stay. And I can’t even tell you how hard it is to become a star. So many levels in between that. So he does an amazing job, bro, handling the roller coaster ride that he and we are on.”
