Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups talked about the reliable play of Deni Avdija after last night’s 116-109 road loss vs. the Phoenix Suns (17 points/7 rebounds/3 assists/6-9 FG/3-5 3-PT/2-4 FT).

(via Portland Trail Blazers):

“I’ve been very happy with how Deni’s playing and what he’s given us. He continues every night. He plays with a lot of force and a lot of power. We always stress trying to get to the paint, and he’s probably the best on our team at getting there. He gets there and he’s making really good decisions when he gets there. So, I’ve been happy with Deni. Rebounding. I have to use him in a lot of different areas. Shoot, there was a stretch tonight, and he’s not used to this, but there was a stretch tonight I had to use him at the five. So he’s reliable, I trust him, and he’s done a really good job of settling in here.”
