Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel likes to emphasize on the defensive end of the game. It can take more time for new players to learn his schemes, but, according to Carmelo Anthony, those schemes are easy.

“It’s very simple, it’s no hard. Lots of clarity. It’s not a one-on-one defense that we’re creating, that we’re putting in. This is a team defense. This is knowing your space, knowing your spots, knowing your regions,” Melo said after the Lakers lost their second preseason game against the Suns.

“That’s going to take some time to kind of just get in sync where we know where everybody’s going to be at, we know rotations before it even happened, we’re in the right position. That’s gonna take some time, not too much time, but that’s gonna get guys coming back together, playing actually in games, not just in practice, and us figuring out that out.”
