McCullar gives Toronto another option in its backcourt and adds a player with recent NBA and G League experience. His two-way status allows the Raptors to evaluate him while retaining roster flexibility.

Toronto enters Thursday with a 4-4 record through eight games in the 2026-27 season. Scottie Barnes leads the team with 23.5 points per game, while RJ Barrett averages 20.9 and Immanuel Quickley contributes 17.4 points and 5.8 assists.

The Raptors have also received production from Ja’Kobe Walter, who is averaging 11.4 points while shooting 36.0% from three-point range. McCullar joins a rotation that already features several young guards and wings.
