The Los Angeles Lakers remained winless in their preseason games after losing to the Phoenix Suns (105-117). Carmelo Anthony made his debut with the purple and gold in this game. After the game, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel shared his takeaways.

“I just like to see us execute our habits better on both sides of the ball, things that we’re working on in practice that.. our disciplines both sides of ball have to get better,” Vogel said postgame. “I wish we were further along than we were tonight. A little disappointed in that. But we’ll get to work on that.

“It’s good to see AD and Melo get out there and learn each other a little bit. Obviously it’ll be even better when Bron and Russ are out there. But another step in the right direction of getting us where we want to go.”
