Frank Vogel and the Los Angeles Lakers are getting ready for yet another season with the same goal in mind — winning a championship. This year’s team is a lot different from the year before with no less than 12 new players on the roster.
The team is using the time to learn the system and playing together. After two days of preseason training camp Vogel was asked which players stood out most.
“Russell Westbrook’s pretty good,” he said. “He’s a good basketball player. He’s good at basketball, his speed, not just in the open court but the downhill driving, paint attacking nature of his game has really been something else to watch up close in practice the last couple of days. I think Lakers fans are going to be thrilled about what he looks like in the purple and gold.”
