This offseason the Los Angeles Lakers brought in superstar point guard Russell Westbrook who will take a lot of minutes in his position. The remaining minutes will likely be split between two newcomers Kendrick Nunn and Rajon Rondo.

When asked about his playing time, Rondo, a two-time NBA champion, gave a not-so-serious reply. “Coach told me anywhere from zero to 48 [minutes],” the 35-year-old point guard smiled. “I’m gonna go in between that round.

“Regardless of how many minutes I do play or I don’t play, I’m grateful to be here I know I can bring so much more if I’m not so regardless of my role. I know I have a big impact regardless of playing or not.”

This past season Rondo averaged 14.9 minutes in 27 games for the Hawks and 20.4 minutes in 18 games for the Clippers.
