Last year it was James Harden who wanted to leave the Houston Rockets and tried to force his way out of the team, which took some time. This summer, Ben Simmons expressed desire to leave the Philadelphia 76ers.
The 25-year-old point guard has cut off almost all communication lines with his teammates. It was reported recently that Simmons turned down an offer to meet with fellow Sixers players.
Danny Green is still open to talking with Simmons and made it known publicly. “I know he still communicates with some of the guys,” Green said on his own podcast Inside the Green Room, per Darryn Albert of Larry Brown Sports.
“I haven’t been in communication with him. But I would love to meet with him and sit down and talk just to see where his head was at. Let him know that we have his back and we want him back and just give him some friendly advice. Just first and foremost as a human being, as a professional.”
