Daryl Morey made a bold claim for the Philadelphia 76ers capabilities in offense. During an AMA series on Reddit, Morey said he believes the Sixers can have a top-10 offense next season.

The 76ers were one of the worst teams in offensive production last season, but this year they hope that Daryl Morey and Doc Rivers could flip the switch for Philadelphia’s offense.

“Offense was obviously the biggest weakness last year but I think with the additions of Doc, Dave Joerger, Seth, & Danny, along with Doc moving some of last years players into better roles I believe our offense can be top 10,” the new Sixers exec said.

“I think a strength of the roster that I don’t hear people talk about is that the rotation runs deep with quality players. One area that often submarines good seasons is when teams have to play near replacement level players for large minutes. I don’t see that happening with this roster.”

With Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons as the superstar duo, the Sixers are hoping for a more successful season in the 2020/21 campaign.

Morey added capable shooters around Embiid and Simmons to unlock their offensive capabilities and the Sixers’ points production.

The season starts on December 22.
