The Philadelphia 76ers have made the decision to waive veteran guard Danny Green, creating an essential roster spot to facilitate the completion of the anticipated James Harden trade with the Clippers, involving multiple players.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the 76ers required the vacant roster spot to finalize the trade agreement with the Clippers, leading to the decision to part ways with the three-time NBA champion.

Green, known for his significant contributions to various championship-winning teams, was signed by the Sixers just last month.

The 36-year-old guard appeared in two games for Philadelphia this season, averaged 9 minutes per game and went scoreless.
