Carmelo Anthony had his first workout at the Los Angeles Lakers facility and addressed the team’s fans afterwards. The 10-time NBA All-Star also talked to the media about how it felt to put on the purple and gold.
“My first time here in the building at the facility on the court,” Anthony said. “Still trying to get my head around the fact that I’m wearing this purple and gold. My first workout went great today. It felt good here today, felt good being here. Again, it’s just like any other court but when you .. that purple and gold is different, it always has been and it always will be. I’m just happy to be apart of it.
“I wish my fans could see me here working but just know I’m here working. I’m home now. It’s still August going to September but, like I say, I finally made my way back into this building on this court. It’s been a long time coming. So I’m excited about it. Fans, you guys should be excited about it as well. Laker Nation, you should be excited about it as well.”
