Since Russell Westbrook joined the Los Angeles Lakers via a trade from the Washington Wizards, sports analysts expressed different views on how the former NBA MVP will integrate into the team. Some of them, for instance Skip Bayless or Jason Whitlock, predicted it would not work.

Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins thinks the Lakers will be fine and the duo of LeBron James and Westbrook will have no problems. “To all the people that are doubting or have something to say about whether or not Russell Westbrook and LeBron James are gonna work on the court — yes, it it’s going to work, okay?” Perk said on ESPN’s The Jump.

“Russell Westbrook has proven to us that he is a guy that is willing to facilitate for others,” he continued. “LeBron James don’t want to carry that load no more. LeBron James has showed us that he could play alongside another noise shooting superstar like he did with Dwyane Wade and still win championships.

“Look, to all the people that are doubting Russell and LeBron and the Lakers, answer this: when we get to the postseason, name a team just in the Western Conference alone that could beat this Lakers team fully healthy in a seven-game series and I’ll wait.”
