Zalgiris Kaunas extended the contract of long-term captain Paulius Jankunas, who signed a deal for the 2021-22 season, the team announced Thursday.
The 37-year-old forward announced he will continue to play for another year at the end of the last season. He is the all-time rebounding leader in EuroLeague.
This will be the 18th season for Jankunas in the ‘Green and White’. He only stayed away from the club during the 2009-10 season as he played for Khimki.
He returned to Lithuania one year later, and he never left again to become one of the most important players in Zalgiris’ history.
