Goran Dragic is inclined to sign with the Dallas Mavericks in order to reunite with Luka Doncic.
Dragic spoke with the Slovenian Planet TV and shared his willingness to play again with Doncic.
“I really enjoyed playing with Luka in the European championship. We know what kid of player he is, one of the best in the world. I’d very much like to play with him again, but my career is slowly coming to an end and Luka is still very young, he definitely has another 15 years ahead of him in his career. So I’ll definitely always cheer for him,” Dragic said.
The Slovenian guard will join the Toronto Raptors as part of the sign-and-trade deal for Kyle Lowry. Dragic spent the past six seasons with the Heat. For their part, the Raptors are expected to let him go, so a move to Dallas could take place soon.
Doncic and Dragic were unstoppable with Slovenia in the 2017 EuroBasket, leading the national team to the title.
