Kawhi Leonard has decided to decline the player option he had with the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports and Shams Charania of The Athletic, Leonard had a player option for next season, worth $36M.

The two-time NBA champion is expected to speak with the Clippers on a new deal.

Kawhi Leonard will miss several months of action next season, after undergoing an ACL surgery a few weeks ago.

Leonard averaged 24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists last season with the Clippers.
