Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson continues his recovery from a devastating Achilles injury which ended his season even before it started putting him out of action for the second year in a row. According to Dubs head coach Steve Kerr, the 31-year-old shooting guard is working hard and is making progress.

“When Klay started running about three weeks ago, it was like the light was suddenly at the end of the tunnel,” Kerr said on abc7news. “I could just tell a big change in his optimism and in his feeling of being part of the group–preparing for next season. These last few weeks have been great, he’s putting in so much work.”

The last time Thompson played in an official basketball game was back in the 2019 NBA Finals when he had 30 points in Game 6 as the Warriors were defeated by the Raptors and lost the series 2-4.
