Klay Thompson scored 32 points for the Warriors in the win over the Timberwolves. It was his second straight high scoring game after scoring 42 points against the Rockets.

According to Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr, the 33-year-old shooting guard has stepped up with his leadership in absence of Steph Curry.

“Klay is really stepping up on the leadership front,” Kerr said postgame. “He’s been more vocal. He’s encouraging the guys. I think he recognizes that he is much needed in that role with all of our guys out. So he’s done a great job with them.”

This season Thompson is averaging 21.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.7 minutes per game.
