Boston Celtics finished the season on a disappointing note as they got eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. The Celtics’ locker room was dysfunctional throughout the 2020-21 NBA season, per The Athletic’s Jared Weiss.

Kemba Walker, who was traded to the OKC Thunder on Friday, was at odds with head coach-and now president of basketball operations- Brad Stevens.

Stevens was reportedly harder on Walker, and he showed favoritism for other top players. Walker became more open to playing for another franchise after the team started getting booed at TD Garden for their struggles.

By the end of the season, it was widely believed the Celtics lost their culture of winning, with players voicing concerns over Stevens’ “college offense” that often left the team’s best players in isolation situations.
