Kemba Walker is on a shooting slump the last few games and Tuesday’s night game versus the Utah Jazz was not an exception.

Brad Stevens was called to share his thoughts on another Walkers’s bad shooting night claiming that the All-Star guard is an important part of what the Celtics trying to build.

(via NBC Sports Boston):

“He’s a huge part of us if we’re going to be what we want to be… and I really, really believe he’ll be that guy,” Stevens said on the Zoom press conference after the loss vs. Utah.

Walker was just 2-for-12 from the field, but recorded seven assists with no turnovers in the 122-108 loss to Utah. He had seven points and four rebounds on 30 minutes of play.

Walker had been sidelined at the start of the season with a knee issue, which followed him from last season, however since his return in December he is set to go.

The veteran guard averages a career-low 15 points per contest shooting a 34.2-percent from the field through 10 regular season games.

Walker also experienced a slow start last season, before getting to his usual self in the middle of the season. Since then, he has only played 10 games so far, that could be also the case in the 2020/21 campaign.
