The Los Angeles Lakers will begin their playoff journey with a first round series against the Phoenix Suns. The defending NBA champions secured the seventh seed in the Western Conference after defeating the Golden State Warriors in the play-in tournament.
After the game, Lakers star Anthony Davis shared his thoughts on the Suns. “They’re a great team,” he said. “CP [Chris Paul] and Book [Devin Booker] the head of the snake, their role players Jae Crowder plays well for them, big fella [DeAndre] Ayton plays well for them.
“They got a good team. All their guys have been playing well. It’s a tough game when they came here a week or a week and a half ago or something like that. Like I said, if we continue to play our style of basketball, we should be fine.
“Playoff basketball is a little different. We can’t come out and have a performance like we did against the Suns in the first half. We got to come from the gate ad step on our necks and play our style of basketball.”
