Anthony Edwards has been the favorite to win Rookie of the Year after LaMelo Ball’s injury last month. The rookie went off against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday to help his case.

The 19-year-old guard/forward had 42 points, on 8-of-9 shooting from deep and an overall 77 percent from the field.

According to StatMuse, the rookie became the youngest player to score 42 points on 5+ threes passing LeBron James and Kevin Durant among others.

Despite the fact that the Minnesota Timberwolves did not take advantage of the Georgia product masterpiece Wednesday, Edwards seemed to get more efficient as the season was progressing.

Ant-Man has shown the ability to score in bunches in his rookie season with Minnesota being on the right track to turn the corner and build a winning squad for the future with Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards.
