The Los Angeles Lakers are now in a three-game losing after falling to the Toronto Raptors (114-121) at Staples Center. The reigning NBA champions have the same record as the seventh-placed Portland Trail Blazers and face real possibility of dropping to the Play-In Tournament area.

After the game the Lakers head coach Frank Vogel shared his thoughts on the defeat. “We played three pretty good quarters,” he said. “Just led the game get away from us in that second quarter. Similar to the Orlando game last week. We were able to prevail in the second half and get the game back under control.

“Played better in the second half. We bowed to two guys that got super hot, two All-Star level players in Pascal [Siakam] and Kyle [Lowry]. They were too much for us.”

Kyle Kuzma was the top scorer for the Lakers with 24 points. LeBron James and Andre Drummond added 19 each. Drummond had yet another double-double as he additionally grabbed 11 rebounds.
