The Lakers allowed their opponents to take a big lead in the first quarter for second game in a row. After the first 12 minutes the Raptors were up by 21 points (33-12). In previous game the purple and gold went down by 26 point in the first quarter against the Suns.

Los Angeles managed to make a run in the fourth quarter but came up short and lost the game by 9 points (103-114). “Just another slow start, second game in a row and really during this stretch there’s really been one quarter,” Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said after the game. “It’s been the second quarter, the third quarter, last two games has been the first quarter.

“Just can’t put the ball in the basket. When you’re not making shots and they’re getting a live rebound or a live ball turnover, it’s tough to set your defense. I think our effort was good to start but like I said our offense is putting us in a tough spot.”
