Deni Avdija will miss the rest of the season after going down with an ankle injury in the game between the Washington Wizards and the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

Avdija landed awkwardly after missing a layup late in the second quarter against the visiting Golden State Warriors and was taken off the court in a wheelchair.

According to Adrian Wojnaworwski, the rookie from Israel suffered a hairline fracture in his ankle. Avdija averaged 6.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 23.5 minutes per game in his rookie season in 53 appearances overall.

The Wizards are on a six-game winning streak after their victory over Stephen Curry and the Warriors on Wednesday. They are now 10th (25-33) in the Eastern Conference, good enough for an appearance in the play-in round.
