Paul George led the Los Angeles Clippers, with 33 points, to an one-point win over the Portland Trail Blazers (113-112). The 30-year-old guard also had 11 rebounds to complete a double-double.

Since last year’s Orlando bubble, George was subject to mockery for his playoff struggles. His new teammate DeMarcus Cousins says it is time for that to stop.

“PG’s cool as a fan… One of the most talented players I’ve ever seen lace them up,” Cousins said, per Tomer Azarly. “We gotta stop the PG slander. It just won’t be accepted around me. One of the most gifted players in this league and every chance I get, I’ma give him his flowers.”

George has upped his game in April as he is averaging 28.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists over 9 games this month. His season averages are 23.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
