The NBA trade deadline has passed and teams can now prepare for the playoffs. April will be the biggest month of the season for many clubs.

Joel Embiid could return from injury on Saturday, Philly trades for George Hill: Reports of Joel Embiid playing this weekend have surfaced. The Sixers added a ball handler for the playoffs in George Hill.

Nets add Griffin & Aldridge, Harden making push for MVP: Brooklyn continues to build their deep roster, bringing in Blake Griffin & LaMarcus Aldridge. James Harden has stepped up all season with Kyrie & KD missing time.

PJ Tucker & Jeff Teague go to Milwaukee, consistent 3-point shooting this year: The Bucks added players with playoff experience to their bench. Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Donte DiVincenzo, Bobby Portis & Bryn Forbes have all shot very efficiently from deep this season.

LaMelo Ball & Mitchell Robinson injuries, Charlotte & New York hoping to hold on in standings: LaMelo Ball is out with a wrist injury and Mitchell Robinson underwent foot surgery. The Hornets & Knicks are hoping to end the year on a strong note after surprise records so far. 

Nate McMillan takes over as Hawks coach, Rondo for Lou trade: Nate McMillan recently took over for Lloyd Pierce in Atlanta. The Hawks made a deal for Lou Williams to add scoring with John Collins, De’Andre Hunter & Cam Reddish all hurt.

Bulls & Celtics make deals, haven’t made much difference yet: Chicago added an All Star in Nikola Vucevic and Boston improved their bench with Evan Fournier. Both clubs are currently on losing streaks.

Heat bring in vets, finally back to .500 after awful start: Miami traded for Victor Oladipo, Nemanja Bjelica & Trevor Ariza. The Heat are now 24-24 after starting the season 7-14.

LeVert returns for Pacers, looking to find consistency: Indiana is hoping Caris LeVert can bring a spark with TJ Warren out for the season. The club is still looking to find a rhythm since being on top of the East early on. 

Toronto trades Norman Powell for Gary Trent Jr, questionable rotations: Toronto recently made a deal for 22-year-old Gary Trent Jr, trading away long-time Raptor Norman Powell. Heavy starter minutes and questionable lineup rotations continue to hurt the club.

Wizards acquire Gafford & Hutchison, Westbrook makes history: Washington added two energetic youngsters in Daniel Gafford & Chandler Hutchison. Russell Westbrook now owns the Wizards franchise record for most triple doubles.

Cavs buyout Drummond, Kevin Love back at practice: Cleveland finally moved on from Andre Drummond. Kevin Love is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game after practicing yesterday.

Magic trade top vets, get solid pieces in return: Orlando traded Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier & Al-Farouq Aminu in exchange for young talent and veterans. The Magic add Gary Harris, Wendell Carter, Otto Porter & RJ Hampton.

Pistons youngsters making progress, trade Mykhailiuk for Diallo: Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart, Saben Lee & Frank Jackson are playing very well for Detroit. The Pistons continue to build with young talent, recently trading for Hamidou Diallo.

Donovan Mitchell misses game after scary Jazz plane incident, Jordan Clarkson bench scoring: Utah’s charter plane struck a flock of birds this week, which resulted in an emergency landing. Donovan Mitchell didn’t make the trip, but potential 6th man of the year Jordan Clarkson stepped up as usual.

Suns add Torrey Craig, Crowder producing in starting lineup: Torrey Craig goes to Phoenix, as his defense off the bench can help the Suns. Jae Crowder has played hard on both ends since becoming a starter once again this season.

Clippers add Rondo & potentially Cousins, bench playing hard with starters out: The Clippers now have a true point guard in Rajon Rondo and may soon add DeMarcus Cousins. Bench players Terance Mann, Ivica Zubac & Luke Kennard are playing solid in the absence of Serge Ibaka & Patrick Beverley.

Lakers stars going through injuries, Drummond gets hurt in first game: LA has a big month ahead with LeBron & AD still out. Andre Drummond left with a toe injury 14 minutes into his Lakers debut.

Nuggets trade for big men, Porter breaking out on offense: Denver dealt for Aaron Gordon & JaVale McGee, as both bring valuable veteran experience to the Nuggets. Michael Porter Jr is averaging 21.1 PPG & 8.6 RPG in his last 10 games.

Nurkic back, Portland trades for Norman Powell: Jusuf Nurkic recently returned from his wrist injury, missing time dating back to January. The Blazers offense gets even better with the addition of Norman Powell.

Dallas acquires shooters, San Antonio picks up Dieng: The Mavs brought in three-point shooting with JJ Redick & Nicolo Melli. The Spurs claimed Gorgui Dieng off waivers after buying out LaMarcus Aldridge.

Jonas Valanciunas continues career season in Memphis, Jaren Jackson Jr. set to come back in late April: Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas recently had a 30 & 16 game on 72% from the field. Memphis expects Jaren Jackson Jr. to return before the season ends.

Warriors falling in standings, Steph Curry scores 32 in return: Golden State is in danger of falling out of the play-in scenario. Although, Stephen Curry being back in the lineup helps quite a bit.

De’Aaron Fox balling out on offense, Kings make deals: Sacramento’s De’Aaron Fox averaged close to 30 PPG in the month of March. The Kings traded for versatile bench players in Delon Wright, Maurice Harkless & Terence Davis during the deadline.

Pelicans add defense, Alexander-Walker scoring effectively with Ball out: Wes Iwundu & James Johnson are now with New Orleans. Starting point guard Lonzo Ball has missed the last 5 games, but Nickeil Alexander-Walker is averaging 17.8 PPG during his absence.

OKC signs Moses Brown, top players missing time: The Thunder recently signed 21-year-old Moses Brown to a multi-year deal. With SGA, Al Horford, Lu Dort, & Darius Bazley all currently out, look for names like Brown, Maledon, Pokusevski, Roby, Jerome & Bradley to gain meaningful experience.

Rockets snap losing streak, trade Oladipo: Houston went through a 20-game losing streak before beating Toronto last week. Young Rockets Kevin Porter Jr & Jae’Sean Tate are showing positive signs for the future.

Minnesota hires Chris Finch as head coach, rookies look comfortable: The Timberwolves parted ways with Ryan Saunders, bringing in Raptors assistant Chris Finch. Anthony Edwards & Jaden McDaniels are playing very confident in starting roles.
