CEZ Nymburk are through to the Last 32 of the Eurocup after beating Seville 91-82 in their final game of the regular season of Group C.

The Czech giants needed to force overtime to win it though. Petr Benda scored on an assist by Tre Simmons with the latter taking over in the extra session, hitting a clutch thee-pointer to give the hosts the lead and pull away from their Liga Endesa counterparts.

Simmons finished the game with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists for Nymburk, 15 of those points coming in the fourth quarter and overtime.

Paris Levallois clinched third place in Group A after beating fellow French side Strasbourg 75-71.

Blake Schilb scored 23 points on 4/6 three-point shooting to lead Paris, which improved to 5-5. The loss dropped Strasbourg to 8-2; both of its loses came against Paris. Landing Sane added 13 points and 8 rebounds and Louis Labeyrie scored 10 for the winners.

“The goal was to play and rotate the players tonight,” said Paris coach Gregor Beugnot. “Our first quarter was not good, but fortunately we played better in the other three quarters. It was a no-pressure situation.

“This game allows us to reassure ourselves about what we can do for the rest of our season. There are things to improve offensively and defensively, but the will of the players is better. This shows that we learn from our mistakes.”
