Daryl Morey had to manage several extremely talented players like James Harden, Dwight Howard and Chris Paul, while he’s also experienced players such as Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming.

However, Morey admitted he has never seen any player dominate like Joel Embiid as he said in his recent interview to Howard Beck of Sports Illustrated.

“I get in trouble when I say stuff like this,” Morey says, “but he’s the most unstoppable thing I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot. You know who I’ve seen,” he says, alluding to Harden. “But I’ve never seen anything like it.

Like last night against Rudy Gobert, he faced him up at eight feet, and I mean it ended in a dunk. And (Gobert) is an amazing defender. And he had no answer.”

Embiid has definitely shown flashes of potential since his first season in the league, however he really dominates on both ends of the floor this year.

The 26-year-old is averaging 30.2 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists. He is shooting over 52 percent from the floor and up to 42 percent from deep.

With Morey having experienced the pure talent of James Harden first hand all these previous years, his claim seems to be pretty surprising.

The Sixers are on top of the East for the first part of the 2020/21 campaign propelled by Joel Embiid’s elite level of play.
