Despite winning a championship last season, the Los Angeles Lakers saw their place drop on the list of the NBA’s Most Valuable Teams.

The Purple & Gold, valued at $4.6 billion, were pushed to the third place by the Golden State Warriors with the value of $4.7 billion, according to Kurt Badenhausen and Mike Ozanian of Forbes.

Interestingly, the Dubs are far from their best years, when they dominated the league in terms of results, yet they remain the second most valuable NBA franchise. Poor results did not affect the New York Knicks’ position either, as they keep sitting at the top with the value of $5 billion.

The top ten of the NBA’s Most Valuable Teams also includes the Chicago Bulls ($3.3 billion), Boston Celtics ($3.2 billion), Los Angeles Clippers ($2.75 billion), Brooklyn Nets ($2.65 billion), Houston Rockets ($2.5 billion), Dallas Mavericks ($2.45 billion), Toronto Raptors ($2.15 billion).

Meanwhile, the bottom three teams on the list are the Memphis Grizzlies, valued at $1.3 billion, the New Orleans Pelicans ($1.35 billion) and the Minnesota Timberwolves ($1.4 billion).
