Talen Horton-Tucker is becoming an important player coming off the bench for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. The 20-year-old guard appeared just in six regular season games last year, whereas this year he has already played 19 games. His minutes on the court increased from 13.5 to 16.3.

In his latest outing against the Denver Nuggets, Horton-Tucker tied his season-high of 17 points in 22 minutes of play. After the game, Kyle Kuzma was asked about THT’s performance.

“He comes in and plays hard, obviously he’s a very gifted player, super young but he’s really poised and it’s really hard to stop him once he gets downhill,” Kuzma said.

“He does a great job of every game learning. It’s not just about him offensively. He does a great job of being at the nail, being a stunt and dig guy, getting steals with his wingspan, rebounding, contesting shots.

“He does a great job which is playing team basketball. It’s helping us whether it’s getting on the break or providing that energy like he did today.”
