Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks lost their sixth game in a row as they went down against the Phoenix Suns. As the Mavs keep losing games and dropping in the standings, former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins called Doncic to win more to prove the hype around him is substantiated.
The 21-year-old Slovenian was considered the favorite to win the MVP award this season before it began. But, despite putting impressive numbers on the stat sheet, his team is struggling. Perkins thinks that has to change first for Doncic. Until then, he considers him just an elite talent.
“Luka? The anointed one to follow Dirk in Dallas? Everyone’s MVP selection? He’s an elite talent but if he’s the dude everyone is calling em, he gotta show me more in the Wins column. CP3 put him over his lap tonight! Not sold yet, Carry on…” Perkins tweeted.
