The New Orleans Pelicans, viewed as a key team in the NBA trade market, are receiving calls on Lonzo Ball and JJ Redick, according to Shams Charania.

The Pelicans have shown openness to discussing trades around both players with interested teams.

However, a trade involving either player is not imminent, Charania notes.

Trading away Ball and Redick would allow young guards like Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Kira Lewis Jr. to have more of a featured role in the rotation.

The Golden State Warriors and Pelicans have also “discussed a potential deal involving Kelly Oubre Jr.,” according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

There reportedly isn’t traction as of yet.

“Like many conversations around this time, it is a scenario,” Slater adds.

This year’s trade deadline is March 25 and trade rumors will be ramping up until then.
