The New Orleans Pelicans are actively shopping Lonzo Ball, according to the latest reports with several teams being in play to trade for the guard out of UCLA.

Brian Windhorst of ESPN believes the Golden State Warriors and the Chicago Bulls could show interest for the point guard, who is on his fourth year in the league.

“There have also been rumors about Kelly Oubre-Lonzo Ball trade. I mean that’s no secret, that’s sort of been out there. (…) The Pelicans have struggled, especially defensively. (…) They’ve shopped their guards. They’ve shopped Eric Bledsoe, Ball and JJ Redick,” Windhorst said in his latest podcast, via HoopsHype.

“One of the places that, in addition to Golden State that you could think of Lonzo, one of the places that you would think of Lonzo as a possibility and I’ve heard out there would be Chicago. If Chicago might have an interest there… But we’ll see about that.”

The Bulls could certainly be in the mix of adding a good perimeter defender and playmaker alongside Zach LaVine and Coby White. However, any team would like to trade for Ball, he will have to deal with him becoming a free agent next summer.

It is unknown what New Orleans’ asking price is for the former No. 2 overall pick. But, the Pelicans appear motivated to move a their backcourt’s roster pieces.
