Mark Cuban shared his thoughts on the poor fitness of Luka Doncic in the beginning of the 2020/21 season.

Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, noted Doncic had scheduled some workouts that would keep him in form, as he was planning to join Slovenia for the 2022 EuroBasket Qualifiers.

However, he was forced to change his plans due to the coronavirus pandemic and these workouts didn’t take place eventually.

Cuban said, though, Doncic knows that his physical condition is not at its best at the moment and is working on that.

“Luka knows that when that happens, he’s going to get the blame, no matter what. But there’s nobody in the organization that has changed our perspective of Luka at all.

We know he’s amazing. He’s a top-three, top-five player in the league and he’s only going to get better,” Cuban said during his appearance on Sportsradio 96.7 FM/1310 AM The Ticket, via Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News.

Doncic is averaging 27.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.7 assists this season for the Mavericks.
