Kyle Kuzma will be a starter for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, for the first time this season.

Kuzma will start in place of Anthony Davis, who is out with a calf injury (right calf contusion).

The head coach of the Lakers, Frank Vogel, said he expects Kuzma to be a starter when Davis or LeBron James miss a game.

Kuzma recently agreed to a three-year, $40M contract extension with the Lakers and is expected to have an advanced role for the team this season.
