James Harden offered some interesting quotes ahead of his season debut with the Houston Rockets amid trading rumors.

The 2018 MVP referred to his feeling playing again, avoided any questions regarding his future, and talked about the Rockets being severely shorthanded.

(via USA Today Sports):

“I’m starting my 12th year in this league, and I’m excited for it,” Harden said prior the Rockets-Blazers game on Saturday.

“To get out here playing, never want to take playing basketball for granted,” the Rockets superstar. “I feel like I’m 21 again.

In reality, I’m not. I just try … try to find yourself in this league. Some guys never do. I know myself, overall. That’s why I’m so confident, and so ready.”

The Rockets will enter their season opener with six inactive players, among them John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and Eric Gordon.

In addition to Harden, the active list includes guards David Nwaba, Sterling Brown, and Brodric Thomas; forwards Danuel House Jr., PJ Tucker, and Jae’Sean Tate, and centers Christian Wood, Bruno Caboclo.
