Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Dion Waiters received his championship ring on Friday and took his social media to show off it to his fans.

The Lakers did not re-sign the veteran guard. As a result, Waiters wasn’t able to attend the ring ceremony, which took place earlier this week.

Waiters was the second bench player no longer with the Lakers to have received his ring via delivery, joining JR Smith, who is also a free agent.

Selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the fourth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, it’s still unclear if Waiters will find a place in an NBA roster this season.

The mercurial guard started the 2019/2020 season with the Miami Heat, before joining the Lakers at the season restart in Orlando, Florida.
