LeBron James was spotted using a phone during the 2020 Championship Rings ceremony. After the game against the Clippers he was asked about what he was doing there.
“I FaceTimed my wife first. I wanted her to be a part of that for sure. She didn’t answer the phone. Then I FaceTimed my mom,” the four-time NBA champion said. “My mom answered and I showed my mom what we were doing at that point in time. Even though it was on television, I kind of just wanted her to be a part of it in the best way shape or form of her actually being there.
“I was on the phone with my mom all the way until the rings started going so I could pay attention to my teammates and see what was going on at the Jumbotron. That was a pretty cool feeling for being in person.”
