Stephen Curry has no plans to retire from the NBA anytime soon and wants to play until he is 40 years old.

Curry is entering his 12th season with the Golden State Warriors and wants to keep playing for the franchise.

“That was always the goal. Now it’s just more so listen to your body. Who knows. You can’t predict the future. I’ve always said I want to play as long as I can play at the level I want to be at and hopefully you can be in that position where you end it on your own terms. Whatever that means, hopefully that is closer to 40,” Curry said, via Nick Friedell of ESPN.

Curry, who joined the Warriors in 2009 and has earned three NBA titles (2015, 2017, 2018), has two years left on his current contract with Golden State.

The 32-year-old superstar is eligible to sign a three-year, $156 million max extension that would start in 2022/23, per ESPN’s Bobby Marks.
