Russell Westbrook entered the floor two hours before the start of the Washington Wizards first team practice.

Westbrook set the tone early for his time with the Wizards and received high praise from head coach Scott Brooks.

“I’m sure the players didn’t realize that’s what he does. You could tell everybody locked in and everybody raised their level up. They will know this was not because it was the first day.

This is who he is, this is how he prepares, this is how he gets ready. He’s always like that,” Brooks said, via Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington.

Westbrook and Brooks will reunite in the Wizards for the first time since 2015. They spent seven years together in the Oklahoma City Thunder (2008-2015).
