Free agent forward Davis Bertans has agreed to a five-year, $80 million deal to return to the Washington Wizards, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

It’s one of the biggest deals ever for a European-based agent (Arturs Kalnitis) in the NBA, Wojnarowski also notes.

Bertans, 28, averaged 15.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 3.7 three-pointers per game last season.

On several occasions, Wizards general manager Tommy Sheppard called signing Bertans the team’s number one priority.

He will get the opportunity to play alongside Bradley Beal and John Wall.
